Description
This piece came at a time when I was struggling to see that my life held more than one path. I could sense there were many possibilities, and I could also see that each one was beautiful in its own way. But I felt they had to be kept separate, structured, contained, almost protected. As if each possibility needed its own box. As if, if they touched, something would be lost. The colours might mix. The clarity might disappear. So I held them apart.
This painting emerged from that place, a way of honouring each possibility individually, allowing it to exist fully on its own, without interference.
Over time, my understanding has softened. I can now see that these possibilities do not need to be kept separate. They can move, overlap, and inform one another without losing their essence.
But this piece belongs to that earlier moment, when separation felt necessary, and when beauty was found in holding each possibility gently, just as it is.
